This will be an INTERACTIVE workshop!
Dear Fellow Traveler,
Our Intergroup is run by volunteers. We are currently looking for someone who is willing to serve as our Treasurer. Thank you to Louis B for being our Treasurer during the first year, 2017.
You can see a list of 7th Tradition contributions made to IG by the groups here.
Thank you also to Jay B for funding literature purchase from his own account. Hopefully as our finances improve, it will not be necessary for individual intergroup volunteers to fund expenses.
Our total income for 2017 was $2205. That included some loans from volunteers to get the bank account funded and pay some initial incorporation expenses.
Our total expenses for 2017 were $944 (excluding literature purchases). That included repayment of those loans, rent for workshops, PO box and website expenses, and state registration fees for the non profit corporation.
At the end of 2017, we had a bank balance of $1260. We are in the process of determining what we should keep as a prudent reserve, but most likely it will be in the neighborhood of $1000.
We plan to spend some of the excess to help a representative travel to the 2018 ACA ABC and Convention in Toronto and to fund a kick off picnic (details to follow).
See details of 2017 Income and Expense.

Dear Southeast FL ACA Intergroup Fellow Traveler,
The next Intergroup meeting will be held on Saturday, March 10 at noon at Cross Community Church, 2575 Lone Pine Rd in Palm Beach Gardens. For consistency, the Intergroup meetings will be held the second Saturday of the month so you can plan accordingly.
If you can’t attend in person, here are directions as to how you can attend virtually. You can also phone in on a conference call line. The number is: 515-604-9819. The access code is: 246817#
Also, there are two upcoming workshops, a Grief Recovery Workshop to be held also on March 10, and a Non Dominant Handwriting Workshop to be held April 7. Please share this information with your groups if you have an email list? If not, printing a copy of the attached flyers and distributing them at your meeting would be helpful and boost attendance!
As always for folks in the Southern Counties, the presenters are willing to come down and present the same workshops in your area if you would like to organize that.
If you have any questions, please call Kathy A at 561.236.4298.
I hope to see you on March 10.

Dear Fellow Travelers,
The intergroup meeting on Saturday will be at 12:00 at Cross Community Church, 2575 Lone Pine Rd, Palm Beach Gardens. (Located on Prosperity Farms Rd., 2 lights north of PGA Blvd.). This is the same location as the 10:30am Saturday meeting.
Our intergroup covers a large geographic area. And we would like to have involvement from as many groups as possible.
There are THREE ways you can attend the meeting.
- Come join us in person. (If you are making the trip, you can also attend Melinda’s workshop from 2-4 on the same day.)
- Attend virtually online using intherooms.com. A step by step guide for using intherooms.com is here. Fellow traveler David McB will be there to host you at intherooms.com if you choose to join us using that platform.
- Call into to a conference call number. Call 515-604-9819. It will prompt you for the access code which is 246817# (sound quality not guaranteed).
This month our main topic for discussion will be the next FUN event that we would like to offer. So, come with your party ideas!!!!
Come Join Us!
What, you might ask, is the Southeast Florida Intergroup? It is a group of volunteer fellow travelers who are here to provide opportunities for fellowship and support for the ACA meetings held in Southeast Florida. Intergroup does a lot, but these are the four main things that we do:
- Maintain the Meeting Lists
- Maintain the South East Florida ACA website
- Offer a 30% discount on bulk literature purchases for member groups
- Offer workshops and get-togethers
Dear Fellow Traveler,
I apologize for not connecting sooner and being MIA! My mother passed away in November and I have been spending time processing her death. I am slowly getting back to my responsibilities and being the chairperson of Intergroup is one that has been given priority.
With that said, save the date of Saturday, February 10 @ 12:15pm for the next Southeast Florida Intergroup meeting. It will be held at The Center, 1408 N. Killian Dr., Lake Park.
The meeting day has been switched to a Saturday after a well-attended ACA meeting in the north end of Palm Beach County. We thought that changing the day and time after an ACA meeting which consistently attracts 50-70 people would increase the possibility that some of those attendees would be motivated to stay after and attend the Intergroup meeting.
We are making arrangements to also have virtual attendance available. For those of you who want to meet on the phone, we will have a conference call line. Call 515-604-9819. It will prompt you for the access code which is 246817#
Our intention is to keep the meeting date on the second Saturday of each month to start to build consistency. So, please mark your calendars accordingly!
The main topic for discussion of this meeting will be the approval of various workshops and brainstorming on an ACA party/picnic/fun event!
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to email me back or give me a call at 561.236.4298.
